Informe de resultados de la Campaña Panamá Miguel Oliver 2008

Abstract

Durante el mes de julio de 2008 se desarrolló la Campaña “Panamá Miguel Oliver 2008”, la segunda en aguas del Pacífico panameño realizada por acuerdo entre las administraciones panameña y española, a bordo del B/O Miguel Oliver. El principal objetivo de la Campaña fue comparar la composición específica de la biomasa entre el Golfo de Panamá y el Golfo de Chiriquí. Se realizaron 58 lances, 47 de los cuales han resultado válidos. Se pescó entre los 28 y los 357 metros de profundidad. Se capturaron 12709,6 kg, correspondientes a 243 organismos diferentes. Los peces capturados alcanzaron los 11998,2 kg, y el resto, 711,3 kg, correspondieron a los invertebrados, dentro de los cuales los de mayor importancia han sido los crustáceos con 564,2 kg. Se sondaron 1433,4 millas náuticas con la sonda multihaz EM302. Se trabajó registrando una profundidad mínima de 22 y una máxima de 870 m. Se realizaron 48 estaciones con la batisonda CTD, obteniéndose 45 perfiles válidos, debido a tres fallos de descarga. Se registraron datos de corrientes con la sonda ADCP durante las pescas (120 millas náuticas) y se realizó un transepto de 75 millas en el golfo de Panamá durante 9 horas continuadas.

During July 2008, was carried out the survey "Miguel Oliver Panamá 2008". Was the second survey developed in the Pacific waters of Panama by agreement between the Panamanian and Spanish administrations. The main objective of the survey was to compare the species composition and biomass between the Gulf of Panama and the Gulf of Chiriqui. There were 58 sets, 47 of which has valid. The hauls depth range was: 28 to 357 meters. 12709.6 kg were captured, corresponding to 243 different organisms. The fish caught totalled to 11998.2 kg, and the remaining 711.3 kg, corresponded to invertebrates, among which the most important were the crustaceans with 564.2 kg. 1433.4 miles nautical was sounded with the EM302 multibeam. Work was recording a minimum depth of 22 and a maximum of 870 m. There were 48 stations with CTD, obtained 45 profiles valid. To analyze current, data were taken with the ADCP sound during the fishing (120 miles) and conducted a 75 miles transect in the Gulf of Panama for 9 continuous hours.
