The influence of sampling frequency of Mediterranean yellowtail (Seriola dumerili) on growth and feeding. In order to evaluate how periodical sampling affects fish growth and feeding, 54 Mediterranean yellowtails were stocked into 9 tanks. For 12 weeks (from May to August), 3 tanks were weighed and measured every 14 days, 3 tanks every 28 days and 3 tanks only at the beginning and end of the experiment. At the end of the experimental period all the tanks showed similar growth and feeding rates. Thus, the manipulation which sampling implies does not seem to affect the results of the experiments.
